Social venture work at StoryManager went into full swing with the recent funding of BizzyB.com. BizzyB is a new online project-based learning platform designed for middle and high school students to develop entrepreneurial skills and philanthropic awareness. The project received a three-year, $833,000 development grant from Hoag Foundation via introduction by First Foundation Bank. BizGym Foundation, our 501C3 non-profit, also received a Google grant to push 2016 grants over $1 Million.
Made Possible by BizGym
Software is often difficult to secure grant funding for, however in this case, BizzyB is a derivative of existing BizGym.com software thus the chances of delivery are relatively high. We also sweetened the pot by licensing use of our for-profit platform to BizzyB and our non-profit for $1/year.
Powered by Bizgenics
BizzyB is built on Bizgenics® Business Genome Theory and will feature a user interface and leadership training process derived directly from Bizgenics.
How It Works
BizzyB features an extensive library of engaging, hands-on projects, each of which culminates in an entrepreneurial outcome. After selecting a project – such as creating a game or making a craft product – students complete business preparation assignments and receive feedback from mentors via mobile apps. Completion status and mentor feedback are displayed on a user dashboard, ultimately signaling when a project is ready for business.
Summer Launch & Q4 Kickstarter
Alpha launch of desktop, pad and mobile versions is scheduled for summer, 2017. Also, look for our Kickstarter Campaign in November and December to get Business Adventure tokens at deep discount.
